Vervain has been used to treat a viariety of conditions including headaches, insomnia, depression, anxiety, kidney stones, gout and jaundice.  It also has been used to assist with lactation for nursing mothers and for painful menstruation. As a mouthwash it has proven to decrease the symptoms associated with gingivitis and plaque build up.
